Genesis Flores

My name is Genesis, I am Puerto Rican and was born and raised in the Bronx. Coffee is essential in my daily life and is best accompanied by a book. I enjoy reading novels, classics/modern classics, short stories, and quite a few other genres.

I’m currently getting my Masters at Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. In the fall, for my capstone, I will establish the prototype of my own magazine, which will center and focus on the Black and Hispanic Community in the Bronx (and eventually expand to include all of NYC). I also plan to continue with my undergrad research experience and pursue a PhD in Black Studies, once I complete this masters program.
