Assistant Art Director
Aziza is a visual artist, fine art printmaker, and illustrator. She is the Assistant Art Director of African Voices Magazine and AfricanVoices.com. Aziza is also currently a Staff Illustrator, a position she began during her freshman year at Pratt Institute, where she obtained a BFA in Printmaking. Her work has been featured on The History Channel, Style Network Channel, PBS, NY1 News, and Somoy TV in Bangladesh. Aziza has exhibited in two person and group shows throughout the United States and internationally including institutions and spaces rooted in community that celebrate and honor the African Diaspora such as The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center Gallery, Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL), and African Voices’ very own pop-up gallery. When Aziza is not creating art, you can find her cultivating her garden, connecting with nature and the earth.
